When you need to make detailed cuts in a variety of materials this 1 6 amp scroll saw is the solution. This replacement insert is a high quality oem sourced item that is specially produced for use with porter cable scroll saws. It may not be a pro saw but the porter cable scroll saw vibrates much less than my other scroll saws and the built in light and easy to position dust blower are a welcome addition. I just bought the new porter cable scroll saw and found that the plastic insert in the table sits a little lower than the table.

Does anyone else have this saw and have the same problem. I followed someone else s tip for changing pinless blades by using a thumb to insert the blade and my forefinger to steady the attachment head and it s a quick. It may not be a pro saw but the porter cable scroll saw vibrates much less than my other scroll saws and the built in light and easy to position dust blower are a welcome addition. The purpose of this insert is to prevent excessive splintering of the wood which will result in cleaner cuts.
